I took my 6 year old son to the afk dental clinic 1 year ago upon the recommendation of my friends. He had cavities, they were cleaned and filled, he had a semi-canal treatment on one of his teeth and one of the fillings kept falling out. I thought it might be a baby tooth and every time we went there, they filled it again without any delay, Dr. BEGÜM ÖZER, our doctor, we loved and trusted her very much. We knew she was a very young doctor. A tooth with a constantly falling filling started to ache after a year, and one morning she woke up with a toothache, her cheek was swollen. That day, we went back to Ms. Begüm and prescribed antibiotics. She took an x-ray and said there was no decay, it could be due to sinusitis. My son has this problem too, so we believed her. Of course, we used the antibiotics for a week. A week later, the filling fell out and the pain started. Ms. Begüm said she would transfer to the state hospital. We left, thinking we would see another doctor again. I think she was an assistant. The doctor said the gums were swollen and that they couldn't treat them, and that it needed to be amputated. He said there was no doctor here right now, and they said they should refer us to our other branch. I was surprised. I was upset that my child couldn't get rid of the pain of his baby teeth for a year. Is it because our doctor, whom we trusted so much, said a week ago that there was no problem, but that the child should come for a check-up in 6 months, and his gums were swollen, and he couldn't eat anything, so they sent us to another branch. They amputated her. She started a new treatment there. She said that the other filled teeth had started to rot. Sude doesn't wear a bra, yet our doctor, Begüm Özer, said there was nothing wrong with her teeth despite taking X-rays. I'm very upset that she betrayed our trust despite our deepest trust. I hope she reads this. She's already been transferred to the state, and I said good luck when she left. Ms. Begüm, you've disappointed us. My child still suffers from toothaches. Each one has started to hurt differently. I hope it won't harm her permanent teeth. We've been to you almost every month. How could you, as a dentist, not see these problems? How could you neglect them? I don't understand. As a dentist, you claim there's no problem, and a week later we have to go back to the doctor with swollen gums. This is the injustice you've caused us and the negligence of the doctor. We will never remember you well.

1.5-2 years ago I had braces treatment, I think the orthodontist was Ferruh Bey, I don't even know his name. Because he was not engaging in any way, he did not talk, and when I asked questions about the treatment, he answered with a sarcastic attitude. After my treatment was completed, my teeth started to move back and I asked him to put protective braces on the back of my teeth and he charged me extra and said that this was not included in my treatment and an exorbitant amount! Now I have to get braces again at another place, the process has started again, I definitely do not recommend it, never mind, but do not go there, AFK TEETH IS A REGRET.

Yesterday, I went to see Barış Öztürk for a filling. He's very gentle, his hands are light, and I didn't even notice the injection, which was my biggest fear. He's a doctor who does his job meticulously and thoroughly. The clinic is also very clean, and the staff is very helpful. Thank you.

The first thing that greeted me upon entering the dental clinic was a "heavy cigarette smell." I informed the gentleman at the counter, and he explained that it was due to the smell of cigarettes being smoked outside the door; however, I can say with certainty that it wasn't a smoke smell coming from the door. It was a very damaging situation for the dental clinic. Barış Hanım was the one who attended my appointment for a tartar cleaning. I would like to emphasize that she needs to improve her patient relations. Dentists are generally considered to be a health care facility where people are apprehensive. Therefore, doctors need deep insight, training, and patience regarding the emotional state of patients who are bothered by the smell of the dentist. I regret to say that Barış Hanım is uncaring and acts with a completely indifferent attitude. We need doctors who are passionate about their profession and possess high emotional intelligence and empathy. Finally, I would like to share my observation that the clinic's cleaning conditions need to be improved. AFK is not a dental clinic I would choose or recommend again.
